Are you prepping a new course for the next semester? Are you interested in redesigning an existing course? AdvancED is excited to announce the 2025 Course Design Institute (CDI). This two-day interactive program of workshops, small group conversations and work time will provide a supportive and collaborative environment for faculty to develop or refine courses that foster impactful student learning experiences. The institute will run from 9:00 a.m. -2:00 p.m. each day, and lunch will be provided.

What to Expect:

  • Utilize the backward design framework to align learning objectives, assessments, and activities.
  • Explore teaching strategies to create accessible courses and classroom community.
  • Learn how to integrate generative AI tools into instruction and leverage gen AI for efficiencies in course design, assignments and grading.
  • Collaborate with peers across disciplines and receive tailored feedback.

Whether you are preparing a new course, redesigning an existing one, or looking for innovative ideas, CDI is designed to inspire and empower your teaching practice.

I enjoyed that this brought together people from different disciplines and fostered helpful dialog about what we were learning. I really liked the interactivity and use of learning activities.
